September & October Puzzle
This contest is a little bit different from last month's "August Action" - most noticeably because this time we're giving you two months to complete your game. The other two requirements worth mentioning are that it must be a puzzle game and that it may not use more than 3 colors or shades.
Since this is the first time introducing a special requirement, we feel like we should explain it a little more. You may pick any 3 colors or shades you want, but you may only use those 3 and no others (not even on the menu). The ONLY exception to the 3 color rule is the badge you get from us for applying and your own logo.
This should be challenging. We hope it will be a chance for the people who think outside the box to shine and come up with really creative ideas. Some people will probably base their game idea around the 3 color idea, and some people will reverse engineer another idea to comply with the rules. Both work, it's up to you to make it rock.
Please note that the contest ends on November 1st. The games are due by then, but the polls are also closed at that time. Winners are chosen from the votes up to that point. We recommend submitting a game at least 1 week before the end of the contest so that you have time to promote yourself and get votes. It's a decent strategy to finish a game quickly to give yourself more time for promotion.

Rules:
- Apply for the contest by contacting us with your name (or team name) and you will receive your applicant badge.
- Game design and development must start no sooner than 12:00AM, September 1st and may be submitted or edited no later than 11:59PM, Octoberst 31st. It is highly recommended that you submit a game at least 1 week before the end of the contest to give time for self promotion and community voting.
- User ratings for the submitted game continue until 11:59PM, October 31st.
- The 3 games with the highest ratings on November 1st win prizes.
Requirements:
- Fit in the puzzle genre.
- Use no more than 3 colors or shades of your choice (ie. black, white, red) for the entire game.
- Provide a link to Make it Play it and the supplied badge in a prominent location.
- Have at least 15 votes on your game by 11:59 October 31st.

Fine Print:
All games submitted to this contest belong entirely to the applicant (or the applicant's team) regardless of placement, popularity, prizes won, or anything. Make it Play it doesn't claim any ownership of any submitted games whatsoever (but we will probably brag about you if your game rocks).
Changes to the submitted game may be made at any point following the end of the contest. This includes removal of any or all requirements (MakeitPlayit.com banner & link, character names, dialog, etc). Additionally, any game on Make it Play it (submitted or otherwise) may be deleted if requested by the original game creator(s).

Well, it's been a fun ride, but we've had to close our doors officially. We'll leave the games up so you can keep playing if you so desire, but everything else is shut down. It's been fun!
